Surf Packages

Sahara surf does three different surf trips in Morocco – Dakhla – Cape Juby and Taghazout.

All surf packages include

  • Transfers to and from Agadir airport or bus station
  • Specially selected comfortable accommodation with breakfast
  • Transport in luxury, air conditioned vehicles
  • Surf guiding to the best surf spots
Please note that: Surf packages do not include the cost of lunch and dinner. Not only is it really cheap to eat well in Morocco (expect to pay between €7-€12 for lunch and dinner per day) but you’re also supporting local businesses.

Sahara Surf Trips

Dakhla

With a massive 1500km of spectacular coastline there are countless surf spots and epic waves to make your journey into the Sahara an unforgettable lifetime surf experience. Exploring where the Sahara desert meets the Atlantic Ocean, we’ll be off roading, hiking dunes of sand, discovering deserted spots and surfing the best waves, which you’ll have to yourself. This is the Sahara.

To get the most from this trip really one week is not enough – you’ll need at least ten days if not two weeks. We’ll start out from Agadir until at least Dakhla, if the surf conditions are good we’ll go deeper into the Sahara, as far as the border between Morocco and Mauritania to seek out the best breaks and barrels. The final details of the Sahara Surf trip will depend on the surf charts and will be planned in our office before we leave.

In the Sahara eating options can sometimes be limited, lunch and dinner arrangements will depend on our location. Camel kebabs are a typical Saharan food, delicious and healthy and there’s plenty of fresh fish perfect for a post-surf beach barbeque. Along the way we can stop at local restaurants for traditional Moroccan tagines and salads.

Cape Juby

If you are time or budget restricted but still want to experience the Sahara then the Cap Juby trip is for you.  On this trip you’ll get a taste for the Sahara as we take in at least 600km of coast south of Agadir, scoring waves at secret spots along the way as the landscape changes and Saharan desert dunes appear.

We’ll go through Sidi Ifni and Tan Tan and check out the town of Tarfaya, sandwiched between the sand dunes and the sea.  Here surrounded by waves on all sides there’s a castle in the ocean – Casa Mar – as well as some great waves north and south of Tarfaya.

As with all our trips we’ll be taking in some places of stunning natural beauty, stay in selected local accommodations and we’ll taste the best camel meat barbecues and Tagines so that you get to experience the real Morocco.

Surf Tripping Taghazout

Our Taghazout surf trip will take you along 500km of stunning coast between Safi 320km to the north and Sidi Ifni 150km to the south. On this trip you’ll take in more than the classic point breaks of Taghazout – not only will you stay where the best surf is for that day but you’ll also get to see and experience more of Morocco.

If the swell is massive we will not hesitate to drive up to Safi, one of the best point-breaks in the world. Please note: for the legendary Safi wave to break, over 3 meters (10 foot) west swell needed.

Near all surf spots there are plenty of restaurants and beach cafes to choose from serving a variety of local and international cuisine. You’ll also have the opportunity to eat local specialties – taste the best tagines in Tamri and the freshest fish barbeque in Imswan.
